Position: Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
Part-Time or Full-Time
Location: Region 14 Hopewell Center | Southern Ohio Educational Service Center
General Description: Southern Ohio ESC is seeking a full-time or part-time Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for next school year.
This individual will provide supplemental aids and services necessary to enable students to progress in the general curriculum and advance appropriately toward attaining annual IEP goals.
Qualifications:
1. Ohio Department of Education Teacher's Certification/Licensure in Hearing Impaired/Deaf
2. Training and/or experience in teaching children/youth who are hearing impaired and in working effectively with educators and families.
3. Demonstrates basic sign skills expressively and receptively (conversational) and/or advancing towards sign proficiency.
4. Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
5. Must pass a criminal background check.
