SOESC Superintendent, Tony Long
It is my pleasure to be serving as superintendent of the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC). While sometimes the faces and programs might change our staff is committed to the mission of the SOESC. “To foster an educational environment that ensures excellence in performance through shared expertise, collaborative partnerships and continuous learning.”
More than115 employees of the Southern Ohio Service Center are dedicated to serving our member school districts so that they may better assist students in increasing student achievement. Professional development, special education, gifted education, technology, alternative education is just some of the areas of expertise by the SOESC staff members.
We are also delighted to be partnering with the Region 14/Hopewell Center in assisting school districts with their academic improvement efforts and special education collaborative special education services.
As we begin a new decade of service to our member school districts, we remain committed to high quality services through programs and leadership to our districts. We look forward to continuing our partnership with member school districts in meeting the additional demands of preparing students for the 21st century which will require a focus on innovation, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
We are steadfast in making a difference for nearly 24,000 students and 2,500 teachers located throughout Adams, Clinton, Fayette, and Highland counties by maintaining a focus on children and their needs.
Together with parents and community members, schools play an important role in a child’s life. Therefore, I urge you to become involved in your local school district in order to make it the best that it can be.
I welcome your discussion and thoughts on how we might better serve students.
Regards,
Tony Long, Superintendent
Southern Ohio Educational Service Center
