Wanted: Exemplary Teachers to help with the creation of the New Content Standards Model Curriculum
The Region 14 Model Curriculum Committee would like to thank your teachers for participating in the first round of Model Curriculum work completed in July. Those who contributed time and energy saw the benefits for their districts. Due to poor timing and lack of time for recruiting teachers, many of the meetings were canceled. ODE recognized the need to give more time to this project. In September there will be a second opportunity for teachers to help develop the Model Curriculum for the new academic standards across the regions in Ohio. Enjoy the remainder of your year. Our team looks forward to working with your teachers during this excellent opportunity. The completed Model Curriculum should be available on line after March 2011. What: Join a team of content area expert teachers to contribute to the web based model curriculum by sharing your own examples and ideas for instructional strategies and resources.
When:September 20-23, 2010 5:00-8:00 PM
(Dinner will not be provided, plan accordingly.) Elementary, Middle School and High School will meet at the same time, but in separate classrooms. Intervention specialists are invited to attend with any content or building group.
