Clinton and Highland County Gifted Services
This office is responsible for collaborating with personnel from Bright Local and East Clinton Local school districts to identify gifted students. We work to meet their needs by providing programming and staff support that encourages ability-appropriate academic challenges and social-emotional support for the student. The Clinton and Highland County Gifted Programs serve students with Superior Cognitive Ability, Specific Academic Abilities, Creative Thinking Abilities, and Visual/Performing Arts Identifications.
PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY
The Clinton and Highland County Schools believe that every human being is of value with the right to optimal development. Based on this belief, we accept our responsibility and purpose. The task of providing gifted children with opportunities to develop and demonstrate their talents. By providing a challenging environment that facilitates the specific learning styles and needs of the gifted child, students will experience greater confidence in their abilities as they grow into lifelong learners to benefit society.
