2013 BAC Speech Contest
At the November 15th meeting of the Clinton County Business Advisory Council (BAC), five students from Clinton County schools participated in the BAC Speech Contest, reciting a patriotic speech written by Elmer Williams, entitled “I Speak for Youth.” Jaiden Williams from Wilmington City Schools won 1st place and was awarded a $100 prize. Other participants, receiving a runner-up prize of $25, were Anna Tobler, Blanchester High School; Samantha Jackson, Clinton Massie High School; Ian Henson, East Clinton High School; and Chloe Greenlee from Laurel Oaks. BAC members, who include various business and school leaders, judged the competition which was held at the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center / Laurel Oaks Ag Center. Monetary prizes were donated by BAC members.
