Position: Assistant Superintendent

The Assistant Superintendent role is a cornerstone in the dynamic administration and enhancement of educational services within our organization. Central to this position is the facilitation of continuous improvement efforts, emphasizing professional learning communities and strategic planning to achieve desired outcomes. The Assistant Superintendent maintains a visible presence within the district community, serving as a liaison to superintendents, district administrators, and external agencies.
Human resources/human capital management is a core responsibility, encompassing recruitment, licensure oversight, hiring, and workforce development initiatives. Additionally, this role ensures compliance with legal requirements, including Title IX, FMLA, FERPA, and Workers’ Compensation, while also overseeing personnel contracts and evaluations.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or similar field
Minimum of 6 years of successful school administrative experience demonstrating increasing levels in responsibilities
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience
Appropriate administrative license, or the ability to be granted one by the Ohio State Board of Education
Experience in the areas of education, human resources, instruction, finance, educational services, and a broad knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, procedures, and reporting requirements.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable
Must pass a criminal background check
Current driver’s license and reliable transportation
Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experiences
Days: 248 days (12-month contract)
